Welcome to the Campus Planning & Development website.
The former structure of the Buildings Office and the General Services Office has been re-organised into two teams, the Campus Planning and Development Office and the Campus Services Office.
Situated in the Old Refectory (old staff dining room) on the south campus, the Campus Planning and Development Office (CPD Office) is responsible for the following areas:
- Campus Master Planning and Project Delivery
- Design, Planning, Budget Control & Management of new building construction projects.
- Management of design teams & construction projects
- Implementation of major Refurbishment projects
- Traffic Management
- Space Allocation
- Provision of physical infrastructure on campus
- Building Records

The new university restaurant shall be situated on the site of the original restaurant which was destroyed by fire in november 2008. The development will consist of a new ground floor restaurant to cater for 450 people, a ground floor café to cater for 100 people, a first floor café to cater for 100 people and also a meeting room for 60 people. The development will also consist of a new paved plaza, soft landscaping and covered bicycle stores for 80 bikes. The new building will link with the existing sports hall at both ground and first floor level and provides a new shared entrance for both facilities.
